"Call for Artists"
For our 7th Annual "Holiday Square Works Show"
Dec. 2, 2011 - Jan. 31, 2012
Artists in the Carolinas are invited to present works to be selected for our annual "Holiday Square Works Show" for 2011. No entry fee is required for this juried show. This is an excellent opportunity to have your work promoted by a gallery that has been a landmark of the Charlotte arts scene since 1978. The gallery staff will be carefully selecting works to hang for two months over the Christmas holidays.
SHOW OPENING RECEPTION:
Friday, December 2, 2011, 6-9 PM
Show will remain hanging until January 31st 2012.
TERMS FOR ENTRY ARE AS FOLLOWS:
1. Each artist may present a minimum of 1 to a maximum of 3 works to be considered. Images MUST be emailed in simple jpegs file formats ONLY.
2. Each artwork MUST be in a square format ONLY, any square artwork in any size up to 20" x 20".
3. Works may be in any medium on canvas, paper, board, ceramics, etc, as long as the artwork can be hung on a gallery wall.
4. Each artwork must be wired for hanging. All paper works must be framed for hanging.
All works not properly framed and wired will be rejected.
A clean gallery presentation is very important.
5. Each artwork presented must be labeled on the back with the following information: artist's name, phone #, address, email, title of work, size, medium, and price.
All works not properly labeled will be rejected.
6. Email images as jpeg files and your completed inventory form as a WORD or pdf document attachment to the gallery at: providenceframes@bellsouth.net
All entries must be received between Nov. 1st - 12th.
ALL SUBMISSIONS MUST BE MADE ELECTRONICALLY VIA EMAIL;
NO DROP-IN SUBMISSIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED!
*Each artist will set the prices for their own works. If the work is sold, the gallery will retain 40% and the artist will receive 60% of the selling price of the piece.

Tuesday, November 15th 2011 10-2 p.m.
Wednesday, November 16th 2011 10-2 p.m.
Thursday, November 17th 2011 10-2 p.m.
Friday, November 18th 2011 10-2 p.m.
*ALL FINAL SUBMISSIONS MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY A COMPLETED
