KATHY COLLINS

A native of Michigan, Kathy has lived in Winston-Salem and Charlotte for most of her adult life. Her art studies include plein air workshops in the North Carolina mountains and a workshop in the Dordogne region of France with nationally recognized painter, Connie Winters. Since 2002, she has studied extensively with Andy Braitman at Braitman Studio in Matthews, North Carolina.

While her landscape paintings primarily feature the mountains of North Carolina and Virginia, she also draws inspiration from photographs she takes while traveling west to places including Yellowstone National Park, Jackson Hole, Wyoming, and the Grand Tetons Mountains.
